Best Shooting Games to Play on Your Smartphone (2025 Edition)
Shooting games are the most adored multiplayer games when it comes to mobile gaming – no wonder why games like Call of Duty: Mobile, PUBG Mobile, and Free Fire are grossing on the gaming charts on the app store.
They are just cool and keep your eyeballs stuck for an extended period with their engaging gameplay.
Speaking of which, not all of them are great. Some of them are just meh and not worth installing and your time. To save you from such options, today, I will be talking about only the best shooting games that you should play on your smartphone. So, without further ado, let’s dive into the details.
-
Sierra 7
Starting with our most unique options is the Sierra 7. It is a first-person perspective shooting game. The game was initially released for Flash browsers, but then the developers of the game realized its popularity and released the game for the mobile platform as well.
Anyway, in the game, there are tons of options when it comes to choosing the weapon, and through those weapons, you can take shots at each level with a sniper. Apart from that, there is a survival mode and a story mode in the game as well.
I like the overall simplicity of the game. While some people may find it lacking in action, my complaint with the game is that energy mode, which runs out after a few game times, and then you have to pay to recharge.

Call of Duty: Mobile
This game needs no introduction. It is one of the best shooting games on a mobile platform.
From the Battle Royale mode to the multiplayer, everything is on point in this game. Multiplayer mode is particularly the one I am a big fan of. In this mode, there is a big, fat list of maps that get randomly chosen if you are playing ranked matches. Search and Destroy, Frontline, Team Death Match, and more are the multiplayer selections I play the most.
The game is highly competitive, and the moment your device or internet lags, you are knocked. That’s why I play on my Google Pixel 9 with Hawaiian Telcom – one of the most reliable providers internet in my hometown, Honolulu – whenever I am playing COD: Mobile with my folks.
Apart from the multiplayer mode, the BR mode is fine too, but I am not a big fan of that. Yeah, I need quick action that is tactical yet electric.
The skins in Season 4 of the game are phenomenal, though. I got a couple of these free from completing the missions, and I like them. The paid ones are superb; If you can spend some bucks on getting them, I think you should do it.
All in all, it’s a great game that you need to try if you haven’t yet. You are going to at least like it.

PUBG Mobile
Another shooting game from Tencent Games that has been highly rated among mobile gamers around the world. I remember the time when I played it for the first time, and I fell in love with the game. But back then, there were so many glitches in the game, and hackers could easily penetrate the game. This ruined the experience, but since then, the fate of the game has been changed.
It is one of the highest-rated games (not just shooting) on the Play Store and rightly so. The game has become smoother and has negligible glitches on the game. The skins in the game are great, particularly the car skins that are literally inspired by hypercars like McLaren, Bugatti, and more.
One of the best things about PUBG Mobile is its maps – there are plenty of options. From the snow in the Vikendi to the spring in the Livik, there is a lot to get excited about. If you ask me, my favorite is Livik. It gives enough supplies, and the game ends quickly, unlike Erangel, which takes 30 minutes to end.
Overall, it’s one of the best shooting games that you are going to enjoy a lot.
Combat Master Mobile
This will be perfect for those who don’t have the highest-end processors in their smartphones and need something light in the shooting genre.
Combat Master Mobile is one of those games that I can easily recommend if anyone asks me for a shooting game. It offers plenty of customization options, game modes, and more without needing much processing power. The game was designed for low-end smartphones, which is why you won’t face any slowdowns in the game’s performance.
There are in-app purchases, but that’s just for upgraded gun skins and other skins. Apart from that, Combat Master Mobile is totally free to play.
